Heavenly Organics is the dream of John Stoker of Reno. From his backyard operation just off of Plumb Lane John produces delicious elm-oyster mushrooms on a year-round basis and lavender during the summer season. Late summer will find John at his homemade still – distilling English lavender oil from a recent harvest.
Growing mushrooms in the desert is an art and a science which John is perfecting by trial and error. His is the only mushroom growing operation in Nevada. With a new building and greenhouse he will be expanding his mushroom offerings to include shiitake and maitake. Try some of John’s delicious mushrooms from the co-op or at the 4th Street Bistro restaurant here in Reno!
