Hanco Farms is located near the base of the Petersen Mountain Range about 35 miles north of Reno.
Farmer Hank Schenkel is an energetic and enthusiastic entrepreneur with hoop houses full of beautiful greens, a budding vineyard with cabernet grapes and an expansive potato patch. In his ‘real’ job Hank is an engineer at the nearby Sierra Army Depot.
Hank has had a lifetime love of gardening and learned old world ways of gardening from his two grandfathers. He has been a Nevada resident for over 30 years and attended Reno High.
