The following is a listing and overview of current GBCFC committees:
Local Food
(AKA GBCFC Farm Bureau of Investigations)
Creates local food definitions, works directly with our area’s local growers in ordering, billing, planning, education, etc. E-mail localfood@greatbasinfood.coop to get involved
Finance
Maintains weekly finance information for the co-op, is in charge of all banking and payment to our distributors, paid staff, and maintenance bills. Creates projected earnings and budgets. Currently working on developing a new mark-up system for the Co-op. E-mail finance@greatbasinfood.coop to get involved
Outreach and Education
Creates the quarterly newsletter, works with members to educate and network, plans events such as film viewings, solar cook-offs, farmer discussion panels, hoophouse workshops, etc. E-mail outreach@greatbasinfood.coop to get involved
Special Orders
Collects the weekly special orders and processes them. Notifies the person who placed the order if a certain product is out. Maintains current forms, sends out the weekly produce list, etc. E-mail orders@greatbasinfood.coop to get involved!
