Establishing a Food Forest-Film screening, discussion, and hands-on planting with Neil Bertrando

Learn how to create abundance in your backyard.  Be part of the solution developing local food supplies, habitat, and beauty.

We’ll start by watching Geoff Lawton’s video Establishing a Food Forest.  Then we’ll discuss and diagram locally appropriate plant selections, layouts, and the importance of planting from seed to evolve locally adapted food producing trees and shrubs.  We’ll finish by potting apricot and Indigobush seedlings to take home.  We’re asking for a $2 donation for each potted plant you take home to cover our materials costs, otherwise the event is free.
Date: Friday July 11th 6pm-8pm
Cost: Free
