Wellness Wednesday: Stock Up for Bone Broth!

We’re stoked for the Bone Broth Workshop on December 7th! Broth can be intimidating at first; it’s much more tempting to succumb to bouillon cubes or canned stock. But if we’re being precious about our ingredients, this is not one to miss!

Broth offers many health benefits bolstering digestion and immunity, providing healthy fats, as well as minerals and amino acids. Bone broth is particularly rich in glycine, proline, and arginine. (You can also find these three alongside thirteen other free form amino acids in Country Life’s Max Amino Caps.) Each offer different benefits: Arginine helps facilitate the breakdown of proteins, Glycine helps synthesize molecules and improve glycogen storage, and Proline aids in bone, skin, and cartilage foundation.  When all three are combined you experience healthier joints, a happy gut, and lovely hair, skin, and nails!

Because most batches yield more than enough broth for the week. It’s recommended to store this in glass jars (we love the LeParfait swing top bottles) in the fridge for up to a week or freeze the broth for up to six months!
