The co-op has been accused of “getting political” in the past [which we hear as more of a compliment than a complaint]. To make it clear: we take political stands about food, farming, AND BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS.

You eat food because of hands of every color, hands that pray to a multitude of creators.
We aren’t shy about making moves to shift paradigms – one local carrot, one gender-neutral bathroom sign at a time. We don’t believe there’s anything radical about demanding basic human rights. When you think about it, whats absurd is the fact that signs like this even have to exist in 2017, but the dial has to turn one way or another. These signs finally came in last week are now available for sale upstairs at the co-op. Get them in your yards Reno and show some solidarity for all of the humans who make our world and our food systems work.
